i hate you guys...

Pros:
-Low end torque... makes learning to start and stop easier
-Easy to turn at low speeds... which is good for beginers
-generally tons of parts avialable when you drop it
-well balanced bike with good brakes for street riding
-generally pretty good on gas

Cons:
-the 650s doesnt have the "power" if you have to get out of the way... which produces a "pro" ... you have to ride defensive on the highway and really pay attention... your best get away will be your brakes... and thats not always the safest way.
-you have to take a crap ton of stuff off the bike to get to the battery
-i beleive a 2001 is carbed
-tons of people have them... its like a club... it makes me sick...

thats about it. really they are good beginer bikes... and they handle the track really well. all in all SV650s are GREAT beginer bikes... for the street... and then they make a good transition into a good track bike. well in my opinion.
