This was also before NASA started relying on VIR corner workers, and using MM as backups for them or other positions.

Ironically enough no shows and erratic turnout is what caused NASA to use MM as a back up.

At VIR mainly Oh the irony is rampant in this thread...

Really I think a big turning point was the V200 weekend. A lot of people that worked that weekend never flagged again because of the extreme conditions. Then there's people like Dave who even after Beaver in October was not deterred one bit.
