Really though, the cool shirt system isn't that much $$$ if you think about it, and it really does work, quite well. With a gutted interior and a 3 layer nomex race suite on I start swetting before I even crank the car, flip the switch on the cooler and it feels soooooo nice!! Just make sure you have already gone to the bathroom, nothing worse that sitting on grid, flip the switch, have all that cool water running around your chest and then it reminds you to take care of business.
I was thinking about getting one of those camel packs, zip tying it to the roll cage and filling it w/ gatorade, that way I could have some to sip on while on the straights
.Also, you can setup some duct work to direct air at your body from the outside. Combine that with some NACA duct work and maybe a little fan, brake cooling duct fans work great here, I have one just need to get some hose for it.
