completely agree with you there, and i have still a LOT to learn in HPDE's
the risk of bike schools does scare me a bit for my safety and for losing $$ in my bike. i still think HPDE's are safer, but i feel tracking the bike would be much more exciting!
Yeah it helps a lot to already understand the line and a lot of basics about driving fast when you do the bike track day. It helps you focus on the stuff that is specific to bikes rather than learning how to get around the track.
The thing with bikes that jumped out at me very quickly is that you have to really take small nibbles of more speed. You do that with cars too but things get a lot hairier a lot faster with the bike.
