He has to get out there. He has to squid it up a bit. Its not like he lives in the best area to go for an evening ride when you are a squid... he will get tired, but if she shows up the pack needs to know that... and i'd hope one of you donkeys would lay back with him... help him signal the group... and take a break if he needs it. if you guys want to roll out , then by all means post up "no squids allowed" 
and set up a squid group ride, because they need to learn that part too.
