it's definitely far from comfortable, but damn it's a nice bike to ride hard. Ride it properly and you won't really feel the seat. My butt's hardly had a problem, initially it was more the wrists and back, but i've learned to adjust the riding style and center of weight to make it more comfortable - in return it feels more responsive and predictable. I find myself to be relying more on my legs than my butt, i'm rarely really sitting on the bike anyway.
