there are two little brackets and some associated hardware you can get from the dealer for cheap that were used on non-AC E30's to accomplish that-- works great!
Got a BMW PN#?
Also, I know I promised pictures, but I got this paper kicking my ass, so you'll have to wait.
But this afternoon I accomplished: (mostly dietary stuff)
- Complete removal of engine and trans.
- Took the trans off the engine
- Observed the positively WASTED clutch (worst I've ever seen)
- Removed the side panels, and the craptastic foam behind them. (WTF?)
- Removed the rear seat belts and assemblies
- Removed the factory amplifier, and power antenna (Sirius, homie)
- Removed a positively ancient remote power lock system. (At least, that's what we think it was. What else would TX/RX circa 1990?)
- More carpet scrubby-scrubby. (Julie did this. Not really me.)
Its looking all mean german boy racer now, except it doesn't have an engine. And yes, I took the obligatory "Standing-in-the-engine-bay" pictures. Don't worry.
