Are you graduating? Or just a summer thing? Rent is gonna kill you up here son. I work fulltime and still couldn't afford 700$/month.

$700 is very do-able here for a good paying out-of-college job. Obviously you can't have a lot of other payments/bills. Usually employers understand the cost of living here and are willing to compensate for this. Usually with the smaller ones it's a little more difficult to get them to pay up, but the bigger one's usually will give it to you.

in all reality, you'll probably be able to 'afford' up to $1k in rent. I have friends that pay up to (or used to anyway) $1150/mo, you just can't have a car payment and live a lavish lifestyle. I'm not sure why you would want $1k in rent, but that's another topic.
