The brief classroom session was either inadequate or the students didnt listen because there was a lot of confusion about passing zones and signals. Understandable given the sensory overload of your first time on track, but still not an ideal situationAndy Wrote:Sean, are folks allowed to pass during Hyperdrives? You know I don't remember. I did not pass anyone....I think the cars are spaced out by releasing them in intervals.. i will find out
For anyone who really had their heart set on doing a hyperdrive dont let my opinion sway you that much. Its not a bunch of cars on flipping and on fire all the way around the track. Im just critical as to how events should be run, especially when it comes to preparation and saftey, and IMO this format crosses well past my own personal threshold. As someone who has done this for a long time, with a whole lot of different organizations, Ive got a great idea on how I think an event should be run. Those are just my feelings however, plenty of people love doing FATTs and have no problem with it.
the odds are well in your favor that you and your car will come through it without a scratch and you definately would have a blast.
