Yea, after it was fed I was sitting on grid, I shut off the car and Laura was standing there, so I asked her WTF, she was like, you guys didn't stop on a red flag. I was like, uh, you need to go talk to Unk, so she took off towards the classroom. I was like, yep, figured that would happen. Oh well. I'm just glad the red wasn't being thrown for a 'real' reason.
I thought JJ was going to explode. The red flag means only one thing as Chad so eloquently described. When you hear that on the radio.....it is scramble time.
Now, generally a red flag is followed by the black flag to clear the course when it is safe to do so, but the red ALWAYS means come to a controlled stop on the side of the course.....preferably in view of a flag station and wait for the next signal.
