No, it doesnt, and especially in this context. Any personal pronoun is capitalized. Just like Mike.

I was just about to say that proper nouns are capitalized. Mike, Evan, God, Montgomery, Alabama.

Now, "god" in the sense of "a god" speaking generally of no certain god or individual, wouldn't be capitalized.

It's clear from the context, however, that God is an individual in the text, and should be capitalized appropriately.



Also, that appears to be the Summary of the Spirituality of Every Sci-Fi Book Ever Written.
