I realize this is kind of late, but I used duplicolor (the stuff meant for wheels) gunmetal and clear coat on my LS mesh when I got them (they were scratched up as hell). Its been about three months, and the wheels look great. The only signs peeling or anything of the like I see on the wheels is when I had to get new tires balanced/aligned
Like evan I used three coats of paint and two of clear coat. Really shouldnt take to long to do. The only reason it took me more than a few hours was because the guy I bought the wheels from had used something to clean the tires, making it almost impossible to get anything to stick to them, covering them. Anyway, good luck, cant wait to see the new stuff.
