We provide a hotel room per 4 workers which means that you currently have 2 rooms reserved for your group for both Friday and Saturday night. If we can get another person to either be flag trained or help out with the event on grid, I will add another room. I can use the help of two more people on grid plus one flag trainee. Please e-mail me ASAP if you want to come: laura@nasaracing.net
The hotel is Shoney's Inn at the intersection of I-81 and Rt 7. If you go east from Shoney's on Rt 7, you will be headed toward the track.

Address: 1347 Berryville Ave
Winchester, VA
The rooms are under these names below and are already paid for by my credit card:
Jeff Morrison
Adam Sweetser
When you leave on Sunday, you do not need to check out. Just leave your room key in the room. A continental breakfast is provided and there is an indoor pool as well.
Directions to track:
When leaving Shoney's, turn right and follow this road (RT 7) a few miles until you come to an intersection with a traffic light. There is a convenience store on the right side called the Triple J. Turn left at this intersection. Follow that road until it deadends. Turn right. Follow that road until it deadends. Turn right. Track is up on the right. Do not take the first entrance which is also called Shenandoah gate. Take the second entrance. Turn left after proceeding through the gate where you sign the waiver. Follow road into paddock.
SCHEDULE
You are not needed on Friday evening.
You will need to wear pants and closed toed shoes but you can wear short sleeves. Please wear light colored clothing (khaki, white, or jeans). Do not wear red, black or yellow since you could be confused by drivers as a flag.
Please report to the track by 7:30AM on Saturday morning as there is a mandatory meeting at 7:45AM near the tech shed at Summit Point Main track. When you go through the gates, you will say you are working the event and will sign a waiver. Turn left just after the gate and follow that road all the way to the paddock. Drive through the paddock and park in the woods or grass near the open tech shed on the right side of the paddock. Please do not park in the driver's paddock.
The mandatory meeting will begin at the tech shed at 7:45AM. After the initial announcements are made, a call will be made for all flaggers to follow Mark Adkins to the Cobetto Trailer to retrieve your equipment. Please leave the meeting at that time. The captains (trained flaggers) and those with one prior weekend of experience will be assigned to a station and will go. If you have no trairning, you will first have a classroom session and then will be assigned a corner station for the remainder of the day.
Those working other positions should report to their assigned place by 8:15AM unless notified otherwise.
You will receive lunch tickets for both days and tickets are good for sandwich, chips, drink and candy bar. You may want to bring your own small cooler for other drinks and snacks you may want during the day.
Saturday evening: 6:30ish we have a party at the concessions area with food and drink. Please come!
(Don't stay up too late as you will regret it in the morning!)
Sunday morning: Please report for the mandatory meeting at 7:45AM and you will be assigned a corner station for the day (or grid/t&s if that is your assignment).
Here is the schedule for the event: http://www.nasaracing.net/Summit_Oct_05/event.htm
At the end of the day on Sunday, you will receive a worker logbook if you do not have one. If you have been issued one, your book will be completed by Mark Adkins. It is your responsibility to maintain this worker book. If you are a trained flagger, you would receive compensation.
Our next event will be at VIR in Danville in February of 06. Please let me know in January if you are interested in attending!
Thanks, and please feel free to ask any questions.
