Actually, if you look around, a twin cam is pretty easy to find if you look hard. Mine was 1500, ran great, and the HUD didn't work. (a common problem) So I took it to Satan, and got that fixed. It ran until last month, when my exhaust cam broke due to the upper timing chain tensioner putting undue pressure on the cam. (I missed the TSB that said to remove it)
But I digress. The point is that the KA24 is pratically indestructable. I wouldn't (and didn't) blink an eye at buying a 240 with 150 thousand miles, and expecting it to run for the next 50,000 miles.
And even a single cam isn't unbearable. Frankly, the front bumper is the worst part of those cars.
