It sounds like a lot of work just went into it, what would you project as far as reliability is concerned, Pete? Will this thing last a couple years without more repairs?

Yeah, as Jason said, the bike has a lot left in it. It smokes, so you'll have to watch the oil level, but it really doesn't seem to use much at all. We've put around 1000 miles on it and it is very tight. I rode it last night and had forgotton how fast yet comfortable it is.

With any carbbed motorcycle, proper winterizing is key to longevity. If you jsut turn it off and forget about it for 6 months, it's not going to start.

When I was cleaning it 2 nights ago, I remembered that we also put on a new starter ($120) and a new battery.

It has many thousands of miles left on it, assumign you replace the tires ;-).
