i agree with you if you're comparing the STi to the standard Evo but comparing the STi to the MR makes it even tougher, especially with the Evo having far better (than regular) suspension in that form, 6 speeds, and a better power curve.
ultimately i agree with you about the STi though, especially after reading about how robustly the important parts are built.
