I read a magazine comparo just the other day where the STi was in fact a couple tenths faster on the laptime. Either way, the cars are close enough stock for stock to be considered pretty much equal. I wasnt saying that the STi is a vastly better car stock, I said I personally think it would make a better track car. The stock STi suspension is pretty bad, which is going to make a big difference in the magazine jerkoff reviews, but not on a track car that you are going to rip off the stock shit anyway. As is, the STi has a good bit of understeer tuned in from the factory. Some more rear spring and rear bar would help the STi immensely. The STi is a better starting point with much better potential as a trackcar.
