We are not "dumping the cars".......
We love rallying in the Celicas however parts are getting harder and harder to find.....we have to run mostly stock parts so even though there is quite a bit of aftermarket suport for these cars, we are limited to dealer and scrapyard parts in PGT.
Subaru :evil: supports rallying in the US quite heavily. Contingency programs, dealer and enthusiast support, parts trucks at events....etc have led us to look into getting into the more modern , and expensive subaru.
Too bad subie gearboxes break real easy...I guess we will be replacing them more often at events....
The Open class car, would be an awesome street car project, it needs a bottom end, and would then be a smoking autoX or track day car...or rally X and Rally car...it is such a good deal I have though about buying it from ERic (driver/owner) but I have too many projects already and not enough time. Before it popped the bottom end that car was super fast.
It lost an oil line on the PA turnpike and dropped Oil Pressure and that was the end of the bottom end.
