Thanks guys. The S is an unbelievably capable car - I couldn't be happier with my decision. Well, maybe I will be once I get the title and can register it and drive it more than around the block.
I've considered keeping the 318 as a track car - it's a great decision because it's so financially chuckable. It just needs work (okay, just the rear main seal and rear bushings)...I've basically just lost any desire I ever had for turning wrenches on it after 6 years of ownership,
Ugh, decisions.
Chan - I sold the H&R Sports a couple years ago for $140 worth of beer. Ah, college. I haven't done a comp/leakdown test, but I am curious as to what the results are, so I might do it. The motor sounds like a 21 year old motor, so it's not quiet, but it's not bad. I've never done any wheel bearings, because I've never had any symptoms of bad ones. New ones would probably do wonders, but none are bad at this point.
More maintenance info:
- Radiator and fan clutch are 3 years old
- Like 3 years ago, I went through 3 sets of ICU/ICV sets before finding one that works. It's fine now.
