Very Cheap XR4ti(s) if interested

I have a friend that's considered one of the "Gods" in the XR world. This guy is a mechanical engineer, owns a machine shop, and is obsessed with XR's. What a great combo huh?

Anyhow, he and I have been discussing this idea of a V8 XR today, and I wanted to share with the groups:

Ellery Walker Bedford (from Canada) had me do a 5.0 swap for him last fall. He came down the first of April to pick it up and ecstatic about how it runs. With Jims harness and motor mounts the motor goes in better than a 2.3. Once in there it's easier to work on than a 2.3. The harness is a drop in assy with just a couple of extra wires to connect at the alternator. Once everything was done it started right up like it didn't know any better. It's amazing what a 5.0 will do to a XR. Driving is effortless. Torque makes all the difference. With iron heads it will weigh about 75lbs more than a stock XR. Toss the AC and stuff and you can get the weight back down.

Honestly, I'm doing my best to stay neutral on the decision. As I find inspring thoughts though I am sharing them. And FYI, I know each name mentioned in this email personally, have their phone numbers, and have done business with them in the past. Which should help...?

I'm waiting to hear if we get an extension on the pickup date, I will update this thread accordingly.
