I'll chime in with some more UU love...Unitarians and Universalists did not officially join forces so to say until 61...1961.
Diesm, Unitarianism and Freemasonry. That was the deal back then according to numerous letters, autobiographies and personal journals left by our founding fathers.
Seriously...I don't know where all this 'we were founded on christian values or ideals' comes from. Christianity contains the explicit belief that Jesus is the Son of God and chose to die on the cross for all of mankinds sins. I'm sure not even one out of ten of our constitution signers would agree with that statement based on the little reading I've done from people who researched this kind of shit.
