Having re-read this thread, I have found myself laughing at most of the posts. It is quite humurous. Evan has made a few good points. Mike is still an idiot in my opinion, but I'm sure he thinks the same of me and I'm okay with that.
Evan, your right I shouldn't come in and blast anyone I don't know.
But for your info, I have driven Miata's in 2 SCCA schools and had a blast. My lap times were half decent as well. I can drive a slow car that requires some skill as well. But hey, I understand your recent post was in response to my response to you and Mike. I'm sure you could teach me some things, and I would be glad to learn.
But, lets face it this is all trash talk. Let's all just get along. We all obviously love cars and that's whats important.

As far as the tire/brake malfunction - you got it all wrong. Here is what happened:
The new Michelins that I put on the car were mismatched in height front to rear. This works fine on the Cup cars, but not on my car as I found out the hard way. It caused a "Brake proportioning failure" and "ABS Failure" according to the trouble lights in the car. My right front locked up with very little brake pressure applied, dropped onto the frosty grass and thats when I ended up in T4 tire wall. I recognize now that I should not have put the slicks on when it was 26 degrees and damp, but I just had gotten the tires and was very excited to try them out. They were highly recommended by other GT3 Cup car owners. So your conclusions normally would be right on, but in this case, there were other factors involved. I appreciate the compliments you did post. If you want to think I'm arrogant, that's fine. I know I'm not a bad driver and I know I'm not anything great either. I don't need a GT3 to inflate my ego - I just truly love Porsches, especcially GT3's. But I have fun no matter what I'm driving. As a matter of fact, I had an absolute blast in the spec miata's!!!!
(PS: The damage isn't all that bad - compared to the look of it anyway. A spec miata would be more than double the cost to fix this.)
