What the fuck is that on the track Evan ? Is that normal when people just wave you by ? I didn't realize part of racing at that level was to let people pass you. Those two guys were fucking pussies. Is that like time trials where it doesn't matter if people pass you or something ?
HPDE/Track day is not the same as 'racing'. In a driving school you can only pass with a point by. In groups 1 and 2 you can only give point bys on straights, in groups 3 and 4, anywhere you want. So if you are faster than someone and you catch up to them they are supposed to give you a point by.
In racing obviously you pass wherever and whenever as long as you don't crash or pass under yellow. But in actual racing you need a lot more safety equipment and a race license.
WRXtranceformed Wrote:If that was me I'd just drive faster, but as stated before I'm a champion like that. No chance I'd wave some dude past like a woman, but clearly, I don't know the rules of that kind of racing. Clearly I'd dominate as well with a little practice, seeing how much of a bitch some people seem to be on the track (and considering I've "rolled" EVOs and modded BMWs that were actually trying on the highway). Oh woops ! I said it ! The forbidden fruit~!
That's what you'd think but you'd be surprised at how fast some cars can be in the right hands. Some of the guys with more expensive cars genuinely drive like pussies but many of them are trying they just can't carry the speed through the corners. So yeah you'll roll some others and others will roll you, depending on what you bring to the table and what organization you're running with. From what I hear NASA is probably the most aggressive track day group you'll run into.
