As for having to limit yourself to make it a challenge, I don't really think of it that way. When you level the playing field it makes it a challenge. It's no fun to just get a car do every modification possible to it, and blow away the competition. For me the fun is taking the car making it even with the other cars in the pack, and then trying to win. You gotta have that ability though to blow away the AI for those people who don't care about the challenge and just want the win.
