Sleep Inn has raised the rates this year due to some concerns they have had with our group and other groups that come to VIR. The rate is now $75 per night rather than $65 per night which is a pretty hefty increase considering the number of rooms we use. The reason for the increase is partly due to the fact that so many of the rooms have more than the designated number of occupants allowed. The manager says that when a 4 person room has 8 people sleeping in it, that uses up a lot of towels and a lot of breakfast that they don't count on. She also noted that people tend to take a lot of food out with them when they leave breakfast.
Again, this is not only our NASA group but other groups as well, and I am not trying to place any blame.
But, I do ask that if there are going to be more then 4 people in the rooms, that you please bring your own towels. Also, please be considerate of the breakfast bar as well. THANKS!
