Yes its a fire hazard because it no longer has a bulkhead protecting you from a fuel tank, you cut up the rear floor, lose the back seat, you wont save any weigh unless you go to a small cell which sucks if you drive the car around a lot and filling from the stock tank filler location may not be possible - which means another hole in the body.
