In other news, how great is that ego chainsaw?

haven't tried it yet! had to wait until i could get my hands on some bar & chain oil which just came in, before i could run it.

local HD was quietly dumping EGO inventory week before last (apparently EGO is jumping ship to Lowes now) so got it for $270 compared to $350 normally. since the 5AH battery it comes with is $200 on its own, and my mower takes 2 batteries when the lawns really thick, i just like to justify it in my head as a mower range extender that came with a $70 saw. the big appeal for me besides lawn work is that it'll be my overlanding saw since i can throw it in the 4Runner and it won't stink and i don't have to carry fuel. we'll use it to buck up firewood and clear trails.

I have a Ryobi 18 volt chainsaw and pole saw and have taken down trees up to 13 inches in diameter.  It's a bit of work at that size but itll do it.  (also I have lots of 4ah and 9ah batteries, would be impossible with the dinky ones they provide with tools).

that's far beyond what i'll use this for at home but good to know what i might be able to tackle when we're off road and camping.
