Although trump did not say directly to stand down DURING the debate, yesterday Trump did say "I don't know who the Proud Boys are, you'll have to give me a definition because I really don't know who they are. They have to stand down and let law enforcement do their work." 

Now I'm not completely sure if he does or does not know who they are, but one thing is for sure: he misspoke, and we need to acknowledge what he is saying now, and not just what he said during the debate. 

Even if we are talking about the Proud Boys group, they are run by a black Cuban (Enrique Tarrio who btw didn't think that 'stand by' was a call to action, rather to let the police do their job), and have black members. They are NOT a white supremacist group.
