Electile Dysfunction (Current students plz look!)
Nice out of context screenshot. The Times even said at the beginning of the piece they are not alleging any crime. Simply showing how Trump cannot run a successful business, has hundreds of millions of dollars in debt coming due within the next 4 years (that he personally guaranteed), and may also have inflated property values to obtain more favorable refunds (see Manhattan DA investigation).

How can a president with $421 million in loans coming due not have a conflict of interest with literally everything in his life?

It also speaks to this fake image he has gotten his followers to believe - that he is actually a good businessman and will run the country like many of his (un)successful business ventures. The ironic part is the only venture he is actually making money in (according to this report) is his 30% stake in Vornado that he has no management role in.

If you're legally playing in the tax code, then so be it. The rules are the rules. But if it's proven that he inflated property value for loans and refunds then he should be tried in court like any other American.

This seems to be the basis of the investigation into his $72 million refund. How about all the seemingly fake consulting fees that went to Ivanak for projects in Turkey and Azerbaijan. Why would she be paid as a consultant when her role with the Trump Organization is literally the same duties she seems to have been paid as a consultant? One possible answer is for Trump to deduct these fees as business expenses and for him to transfer wealth to Ivanka while going around the estate tax. The Times even provided an example of this exact thing happening in Chicago by a group of lawyers.

At the very least, this shows you that Trump is nothing more than a con (which anyone with a few brain cells already knew) and that once again rich people always find a way to take advantage of whatever system they can, while the rest of us get stuck holding the bag.
