I believe Rex's most important factor is he believes Democrats are a direct assault on America's liberty, especially as it pertains to 2A.
I think we can debate the validity of that as a primary concern, but I don't think he's purposefully looking for an argument. Back when I accused him of hyperbole and sarcasm, I think that was the case, but I don't anymore.
My biggest concern is progress as a nation, as I perceive it, which means the protection of health, infrastructure, and liberty for everyone. Sometimes I have to do things like vote against my self-interest or support someone who has a belief antithetical to mine because I agree with them more than I don't.
