Are you suggesting that 45acp is somehow safer? I don't think data really supports your position. Anything with enough energy to sufficiently penetrate a sack of meat is gonna make real short work of drywall that's just physics my guy.
For optics, my "fun guns" have almost exclusively SIG red dots based on a really excellent customer service interaction I had. Anything for social purposes has either Trijicon or Meprolight... Something built to a military standard for durability. (Although FBI HRT uses sig red dots too, soooo)
