Went back to black. Decided to keep the Pretoria wheels and not powder coat them since I felt (after too much deliberation) they matched the trim and tint pretty well. I looked at a LOT of red mk7 and mk7.5 GTIs and golf Rs and I didn't like what I saw for aftermarket wheels and various wheel finishes/colors. The MK7s looked better with other color wheels and I think it had more to do with the lack of piano black trim when compared to the 7.5s.

I found a set of Michelin ps4s on direct tire's site with a flash sale and a separate Michelin rebate, so 4 new ps4s tires for typical price -$170. I debated going for a more budget tire, but the prices were too close after the sale and rebate.

I just now installed the spare tire kit that I ordered from DAP a while ago since the foam and trim pieces were delayed a while due to COVID. I bought the diesel geeks short shift kit and I also ordered the IE intake and am waiting on that. Once the intake arrives I'll install both of those pieces. I accrued some points where some were due to expire, so i also got the flush kit for oem wheels from DAP (black wheel bolts, 10mm front spacers, 15mm rear spacers). Now I want to paint the rotor hats black.

Little mods make me happy.
