The z06 halo bar is(from what I read) just as strong as a rollbar. The C5 structure basically has a rollbar built into it, there a big crossbar right behind the seats that ties driver side to passenger then the roof halo that crosses over. The most dangerous part of the car is the windshield and it collapsing but nothing other than a full cage would reinforce that area.

I spent a lot of money on unnecessary parts on the camaro to find out later that the safer/better way was with another part that was slightly different. It's funny thinking back about how little research I did back then, but all about safety now and doing everything the right way now. Also why the leaky diff was pulled just to find a pile of metal sitting behind the axle seals, but hey a bullet proof transmission and differential are in now and should outlive my time with the car haha
