What's the record for revolving door debauchery? In the words of RJ, "I'm a Ding Dong"

I've been looking for an out for a few months. It was sold to Carmax today at the lower range of private party values and sale prices I've been seeing. Picked up its replacement earlier in the day. Aside from some lost funds on taxes and registration the depreciation was about the same for both vehicles. This is also me trying to financially justify my decision. Let's be real; I lost some money.

It came to a head when I started to get irritated with a lot of small things over time that I didn't think were a big deal initially. I started looking at its replacement (used obviously) and thinking how close their values were. The 2020 Ridgelines are also coming out and were sure to slightly diminish its value since it was improved enough to make the 17-19 RTL-E less of a premium. The Honda sensing, rear door checkers, infotainment were improved for the face-lift and the new transmission and hardware greatly improved the adaptive cruise and other amenities. All of which are being included on the mid and lower trims of the new Ridgeline.

The other part was how it simply made me feel to drive it all the time. I drove the z3 as much as possible, but between rain (I need to find out where the water intrusion is happening), other lingering maintenance items I don't have time for right now, and needing to take the kid places I've needed to drive the Ridgeline. It was super comfortable, but driving the auto trans and lumbering suspension was incredibly depressing when I factored in the money spent. I found it useful on occasion and it could be incredibly useful if I used it more for what it was meant for, but as my main vehicle I've realized that I either need a vehicle that I'm passionate about or a beater-type vehicle. Poor decision in July. Paying for it now, but thankful my wife was on board with the decision.

I've never felt better about getting rid of a vehicle.
