CVTs, DCTs and those other fancy pants transmissions require a bit more frequent changes. Every 30k does seem excessive for something like a Fit but after the Ralliart fiasco I'm going to be a little more cautious. Plus it's like 2.6 quarts and not 9-10 like the Demon. Probably also another reason for the more frequent changes.
