I think bitterness is really exaggerated for my taste buds, because things like tonic water and grapefruit are vomit inducing for me... even with a bunch of crap to cover up the flavor. I much prefer milk stouts over other stouts because they're less bitter. Even some pilsners are too bitter for me. Forget it if they're hopped. Pretty much anything with "ale" in the name is gonna be out for me. I want to like them because it limits my options... just can't do it. The aftertaste is what gets me. I also think hops smell kinda gross. I'm not sure if I'm able to separate the smell from the memory of the bitterness, though.
Beer here is pretty crap, for someone with my taste. I much prefer those brewed in Germany and Belgium. Went here last week and loved their varied selection.

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth
