Yup. As much as I've really enjoyed the time in your and other vintage 911, I will admit a 997 is going to be faster, more comfortable, easier to live with and wont try to kill me... and easier to resell later, probably. That and the air cooled market has taken a one way trip to the international bizarro station and doesnt seem to be returning from orbit anytime soon and I flat out cant show up with $40-60k cash needed for one that I'd want to own (i.e. not a project/rust bucket) since aint nobody gonna give you a loan at reasonable interest rates for a 40+ year old car. I also think that market is highly speculative and while a 997 is still depreciating there's a real risk of losing your shorts on the older cars right now.
I guess the only question left is, a 997.1 S or a 997.2 base? I've also decided I'm in love with Lapis blue, which makes the hunt harder but I seem to get off on that anyways.
