I mean RJ is right. The left says both:

"Nobody is taking your guns, relax" and 
"Let us chip away at your gun rights or you get NOTHING"

In basically the same breath. Can't imagine why gun owners don't trust them, and push the NRA even further to "no new gun laws" extremes
