They've been blatantly pushing the "small gov't" agenda for so long that they cant see the forest for the trees.... and with the modern GOP small gov't just means privatizing the services so old rich guys can keep getting richer. They've been unchecked on this march long enough that its just blatant because fuck you, I got mine.
I will be voting straight D on my tickets for the foreseeable future and I never imagined this would be the case. But here we are.
But these cities did not exist until they dammed up all the water ways, for political gain first, that then allowed them to expand. And now they have to keep searching for new sources of water to feed it. They created this mess for themselves but absolve themselves of any responsibility.
I dont bemoan big farms or big business. I like capitalism. Just pay your share and dont bellyache about how you "cant survive" without it because you have done fuckall to innovate or reduce water usage in the past 100 years, and continuing to fuck future generations good and hard so you can keep profiting.
