Is the Mazdaspeed Miata worth it?

I really like the idea of the car. I like even more the general path of mazda over the past 2 years. I can't say that I agree with pricing this new hotshot miata so close to the rx-8. I don't think they should be in competing price ranges. The new miata is overpriced and as RJ said, I'd rather use an old one and do the boosting myself. I hope the (my projected) poor sales of this overpriced piece doesn't deter mazda from making a 4th Gen RX-7... or else what am I saving my money for?!?!
