One of the things I'd like to do is build a shelf on top of the washer/dryer* for stacking/folding/etc and some hanging space above that, so that kind of forces a need for a front load.
*this is a rabbit hole that means gutting out the existing shitty homer simpson spice rack status leftover framing 2x4's shelving and finishing out the laundry room with some drywall and better thought out storage with an eye towards using it for some light woodworking so I dont know when I'll get to it... maybe next year.... gotta rebuild the deck tho.
