Did you get your kid global entry? Unlike precheck a kid has to have their own global entry.
In Miami they were equipped to move people through really quickly so Global Entry wouldn't have made a difference anyhow, but that would suck if you went to all the trouble but couldn't actually use it.
No, I'm waiting for pre-approval before I can do the interview... which I'll hopefully be able to do upon re-entry in Sep. My kid got pre-approval in about a month.

That site also blames the "ongoing humanitarian and security crisis on our southern border" and says it could take up to 100 days. I'm currently at 99.
