In talks now with Honda and Hyundai, too. They don't really make "enclosed trailer tow pigs" but offer other things that can either tow an open trailer or do sportyfunshit that my audience would appreciate.

Thanks - Hyundai confirmed tonight that I am getting something although no idea what it will be. I think your open + E36 would be at the limit for the Palisade (rated at 5k) but a good test for it. I'm going to buy a Prodigy RF brake controller to have on hand for these sort of tests with SUVs that don't have a standard trailer brake controller.
