whats the rear gear on your F150?
i wouldn't sweat the reliability...Ford knew full well that going to a turbo V6, they'd have to vet the hell out of the powertrain to keep their reputation after generations of customers sold on the idea of V8's. the one thing i'd recommend, given the loads you're pulling in the summer heat, is keep running good quality synth oil and changing it conservatively. its been shown the ecoboosts really shear down their oil like most DI turbo engines, to the point of it being deep in the 20wt range by the time the oil minder shows its time to change it out.
