Or do you mean they'll take the hit as in they won't buy it back, they want you to go through the warranty company? "Take the hit" usually means taking the loss....

Sorry, meant they would be taking a direct financial loss as opposed to taking no loss and having their parent (Lithia) pay for warranty repairs. Therefore a buyback is not on the table, at least in the eyes of the selling dealership (AoJ).
