I was under the impression that he restored the exterior of the lenses. Maybe that's not the case? How would sealing them help if the haze was on the exterior?

After polishing the exterior, you need to apply a sealant to the lens to protect the newly polished plastic from UV light, which is what makes them cloudy in the first place.

Ahh I thought you meant actually seal the entire headlight from water getting inside. Carry on.
