I was running a 2:20 with the old setup... non optimal motor (for VIR) that is notoriously slow at big tracks, I was running that motor in an overweight car (roughly 150lbs over), I was running the slower stock final drive, and I was "missing" my rear aero.
I think I can pick up that pace with the changes I have made to the car, without motivating the driver too much (though I need to get my butt in gear, someone show me how to work this AIM thing)... I've added 75lbs (required), +45hp, new FD (4.4 to 4.928), and the big wang (set to zero AOT, to get about 200lbs of downforce up the esses). The last several HC comp school kids were in the same time range (2:18-20) as I am during comp school... then magically dropped 2-4 seconds the next day during the race.
ya'll got me scared I'm too slow. it is what it is I guess.
most of the H2 guys are in the 2:16 range. Leaders are in the 2:14 range... someone kick me in the butt.
Those SE30s and S3 are also not "class winners", they are rookies too. Just keep that pace. Youll be fine ;
Too bad HC2 is now in Lightning, or I could give you a serious haul down the back straight.
