The one I remember most vividly was from the DC area. The offer was a 15% raise in total comp, but refused to take the job because of title and because he wanted to be able to say his "salary" went up. Had he taken the job, AMZN stock price would have overpaid him a significant amount over that 15% raise. Oh well.
