Sorry dude I'm gonna have to side with Chad on this one. It's a sucky situation, but, you messed up, lied, got caught, and now suffer the consequences. As you said they already don't trust you cause of something you did in the past, so you should be completely honest in situations such as this if you ever want to regain their trust. Once you move out and are supporting yourself you can lie to your hearts content to your parents if you so choose, until then you should be as honest as possible with them in order to make your life easier.
I'm not gonna sit here and be all preachy and say that I never did stuff I shouldn't have when I was younger, but I was always honest with my parents if and when confronted about it.
Oh and Mike, owning your own car doesn't mean that while living with your parents you can't get those driving privledges revoked. I've owned my own car and paid my own insurance since I was 17 and had my ability to drive taken a couple times. Of course you have to have a hardass parent like mine who would say "yeah that car's yours, but unless you want to start living in it you won't be driving it until I say so".
