that's an extreme view, but it's an opinion. that'll never happen, nor do i think it should. political affiliation and general voting preference are based on so many factors (or at least it should be), not just a blind "derrr, i vote [insert party], so i'm always going to vote [insert party]". Very infrequently do i speak to someone who affiliates strongly with one party who is actually willing to listen/consider voting for someone from any other opposing party; i typically just hear how bad the other view point is.
fiscal conservancy (doesn't seem to be a consideration in recent administrations), liberal social attitudes (fortunately this is progressing despite the current administration) is what i get from most libertarians i speak to.
